David, known as “Popeye” to his grandkids, is a 75‑year‑old originally from Bluefield, West Virginia, now living in Granite Quarry, North Carolina. Married to his dream girl and enjoys his three children, eight grandchildren, and one great‑grandson. After careers in sales, marketing, and 30 years in IT staffing, he reflects gratefully on 15 years of sobriety that reshaped his life and faith. A Philosophy graduate from Elon University, he identifies as a Christian Existentialist and open‑minded, politically moderate conservative who loves thoughtful, honest conversations on life, faith, culture, and his blog’s “taboo” topics.
