"In the Land of Deep Darkness"

The majority of mankind won't admit it, either from ignorance or ego, but we are the ones "living in the land of deep darkness", as foretold by the prophet Isaiah.

"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned." Isaiah 9:2

The "land of deep darkness" is the earth, the physical realm in which we live, which is under the control of Satan, the author of the "deep darkness" of lies, deception, hate and evil.

“The whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” — 1 John 5:19

But there is good news for us! Jesus is the "great light" Isaiah spoke of, and He loves us and has not left us alone in this darkness.

He provides light for us so we can see, through the illuminating words of the Bible, in the life of His Son, Jesus Christ, (and all the things He taught us in words and deeds) and, in the gift of the Holy Spirit, God's own power of light living inside those who love God and believe that Jesus Christ is exactly who He claims to be!

"Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

For all who are lost in various forms of darkness, turn toward the blessed freedom of the light of God's truth, mercy and love! There is nothing on this earth that matches the warmth of the light of God's love for us!
